Forensic Investigation Has Not Been Completed Is The Reason The Police Have Not Handed Over The Bodies Of 6 FPI Warriors To The Family

JAKARTA - National Police Headquarters said the bodies of six special laskar bodyguards Rizieq Shihab who died from being shot had not been handed over to the family. The reason is that the forensic examination has not been completed.

"Yes, I am still at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, the forensic medical examination has not yet been completed," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Awi Setiyono, Tuesday, December 8.

After all the examinations have been completed, the bodies of the laskar especially Rizieq's guard will definitely be handed over to the family.

Awi said this process did not mean to make things difficult for the family. According to him, forensic examination is purely for the benefit of the medical team.

"When the forensic medical examination has been completed, investigators will also hand it over to the family," he said.

Previously, the Secretary for Legal Aid for the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), Aziz Yanuar, said that his party had access to retrieve the bodies of six soldiers of Rizieq Shihab's followers who were shot dead by the police.

Aziz said the six bodies were taken by the police to the National Police Hospital, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta after the shooting incident.

"Currently, we plan to take the bodies of the victims of the massacre from the Police Hospital," said Aziz.

After taking the bodies, the FPI team will take the six soldiers to Petamburan, Central Jakarta. The plan is that these 6 special laskar will be buried in Megamendung.

"As soon as possible we will take it to Petamburan, then will be buried in Megamendung," said Aziz.
