JAKARTA - Investigators from the Ditreskrimsus Polda Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) arrested a suspect in an illegal mining case with the initials DMS while at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang City, Banten. It is suspected that the person concerned was about to flee abroad.DMS has been named a suspect since September 20, 2022 in the alleged illegal mining case in North Konawe (Konut). The determination of the suspect was made after investigators conducted a case on September 20, 2022.Didik further explained that PT DMS 77 was suspected of carrying out mining activities in protected forest areas without obtaining a permit or illegal mining in Marombo Village, Lasolo Islands District, North Konawe.In this case, his party confiscated evidence on August 27, 2022, in the form of 27 excavators, 1 border, and 8 dump trucks.
