The Results Of PPATK's Investigation On Money Laundering Of Corruption Cases At STKIP Bima Have BEEN Pocketed By NTB Police Investigators
Investigators from the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the NTB Police have pocketed the results of the search for the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) related to the investigation of money laundering in the case of embezzlement of funds from the Bima Teacher Training and Education College Foundation (STKIP)."We have obtained the results of the PPATK and are still in the process of investigating investigators," said Director of General Criminal Investigation of the NTB Police Kombes Teddy Ristiawan in Mataram, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, October 25.Although reluctant to explain the material from the PPATK search, Teddy said that investigators are currently preparing an agenda for the follow-up to the results of the PPATK search."The results are there, but that is the secret of the investigation. What is certain is that the results of this PPATK are now the basis for investigators to continue handling cases," he said. With the results of the PPATK search, Teddy said investigators had scheduled a series of witness examinations, including convicts from the embezzlement case of funds from the STKIP Bima Foundation."Essentially, anyone related to this case will be investigated. Even if it has been examined, but from the results of the PPATK there are new things, they will be called again. The convicts in the embezzlement case are also like that, if there is a connection with them, they will be investigated again," said Teddy. The police are handling this case based on a report referring to the criminal decision on embezzlement of funds from the STKIP Bima Foundation.Dalam perkara tersebut, muncul angka kerugian yang cukup besar. Hal itu pun telah ditindaklanjutkan pihak kampus sehingga masuk dalam penanganan kasus tindak pidana pencucian uang (TPPU).For the criminal case of embezzlement of STKIP Bima Foundation funds, a decision with permanent legal force has been obtained from the NTB High Court appeal judge dated July 21, 2022.In the appeal-level decision, the judge upheld the decision of the Raba Bima District Court with case number 69/Pid.B/2022/PN Rbi dated May 31, 2022.The verdict in the first instance court sentenced the three defendants, respectively Muhammad Sopyan, to three years in prison, Amran Amir (two years in prison) and Muhammad Fakhri (eight months in prison).Amran Amir was the former Chairman of STKIP Bima for the 2016-2020 period, then Muhammad Fakhri (Chairman of the STKIP Bima Foundation for the 2019-2020 period), while Muhammad Sopyan (Head of General Administration for the 2016-2019 period and Head of Finance for the 2019-2020 period). The panel of judges at the Raba Bima District Court stated that the three defendants were legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act together and continue to commit criminal acts of embezzlement in their positions. The verdict is in accordance with the single indictment of the public prosecutor, namely Article 374 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 1 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code. However, in the criminal decision there was no statement that charged three convicts to replace the loss money that appeared according to the results of an independent audit by the campus worth Rp19.34 billion. This is the basis for the police to continue the case to the TPPU investigation stage.
