Management Of Pertamina Gas Subholding Tinjau Jargas Development In Cirebon
JAKARTA - In the context of monitoring the construction of household gas networks in a number of areas, PT PGN Tbk as Pertamina Gas Subholding carried out walkthrough management. This time, PGN Commissioner, Warih Sadono together with PGN's Director of Infrastructure and Technology, Achmad Muchtasyar visited the location of the construction of household jargas in Plered District, Cirebon Regency.Currently, PGN is building a household jargas in Cirebon as many as 2,000 Home Connections (SR). Meanwhile, the total number of PGN jargas customers in Cirebon currently reaches 36,718 SR. The construction of jargas in Cirebon is also continuing in stages as part of the PGN jargas development target with an internal investment scheme of 400,000 SR throughout Indonesia. This visit in Cirebon also ensures that coordination with all stakeholders is carried out properly, so that it will facilitate the process of development."To build a household jargas is not an easy job. We must build cooperation and coordination with all stakeholders, including encouraging PGN to increase coordination with government officials in the areas where gas networks will be built so that people can be served," said Warih, in his statement, Tuesday, October 25.Warih continued, the main goal of PGN to expand the development of jargas is to provide energy sovereignty for the country and society. PGN strives to help reduce dependence on import energy and PGN meets it with natural gas as a domestic product."The advantage of using natural gas compared to other energies is that it is more efficient in its use costs. So the public's energy consumption costs paid can be more efficient," said Warih.Achmad Muchtasyar added that the jargas in Cirebon uses gas sources from Pertamina EP. With gas sources close enough, customers in Cirebon are aggressive enough to use jargas."It is hoped that some residents who have installed jargas will soon gas in. We will also develop gas to areas around Cirebon. Of course, after developing into the industry, it will increase to the household gas network as well," said Achmad.Achmad also encouraged PGN to expand socialization and education to the public regarding natural gas as a safe energy. Given that in the general public, there is a paradigm that all gas types are the same."The task force is safer, considering that the weight of the type of natural gas is lighter than the air, so it is easily decomposed in the air. That is the main factor of safety that natural gas is safer. Sometimes the gas is usually considered the same as all, even though the type is different. For gas use natural gas (C1 and C2) which is heavy, the type is lighter than the air. Plus the jargas is given a mixture (odorant), so that if there is a leak it will be easily detected," explained Achmad.Rusti as one of the customers of RT 07 RW 4 in Plered District has benefited from the jargas directly. Rusti uses jargas for catering business. According to him, using jargas is more efficient when compared to LPG 12 kg gas. In addition, jargas produces blue, safe, and more comfortable fires because payments are made at the end according to the amount of gas use.In addition to households, PGN also focuses on small customers or small businesses, commercial and industrial. Natural gas services for small customers or small businesses such as catering, café and restaurants, commercials such as hotels and malls, as well as industries such as factories.PGN is also focused on continuing to expand gas network development as clean and low-emission energy."Natural gas is much cleaner, plus 2060 is targeted for Nett Zero Emission (NZE). This is exactly where PGN's role is to develop gas networks for Zero Emission regulations and is in line with the commitment in the G20 theme which will soon be implemented. So, jargas is very supportive for transition energy," concluded Achmad.
