PLN Use PMN Money To Explain 3 Villages In Tojo Una-una Regency

PT PLN (Persero) has evenly distributed access to electricity, as has been done in three remote villages in Tojo Una-una Regency.

PLN's commitment to illuminate the country to disadvantaged, frontier, and outermost (3T) areas is supported by the government through the provision of State Equity Participation (PMN) to the company.

General Manager of PLN North Sulawesi Regional Main Unit, Central Sulawesi and Gorontalo, Ari Dartomo who was present at the inauguration conveyed the importance of electricity as one of the pillars supporting community economic activities.

PLN has a special task from the government to be able to provide electricity for all Indonesian people.

"As we all know, electricity has become a basic need for the community today, almost all social activities take advantage of electrical energy. So that electricity has shifted its urgency from just an energy option to the basic energy of the community which is urgently needed," said Dartomo in a written statement, Monday, October 24.

To electrify these three villages, he continued, PLN built a total network length of 11.6 kms of medium voltage (JTM), a low voltage network (JTR) of 2.04 kms, and a total substation of 3 units of 200 kilovolt amperes (kVA) with a total investment of IDR 4.9 billion.

"After the inauguration of this village electricity, we hope that the community can help PLN in terms of the reliability of the electricity network by giving up productive trees belonging to the community to be cleaned when it has touched and is near the electricity network," he said.

Meanwhile, one of the beneficiaries, Mochtar, a resident of Tiga Pulau Village, Walea Islands District, Tojo Una-Una Regency, was happy with the entry of electricity in his village.

Today we feel very proud when the electricity comes from PLN to our village. With the lights sourced from PLN electricity, we can live comfortably," said Mochtar.

The head of the Tiga Pulau Village, Sukardin Lahikang, said that with the distribution of PLN electricity, the community could increase productivity.

"With the majority of our village communities with the eyes of the search as fishermen, of course, it really needs electricity to be able to turn on the refrigerator as a storage place for caught fish. For this reason, PLN electricity that has entered really helps the village community," said Sukardin.

Tojo Una-una Regent Mohammad Lahay appreciated the attention given by PLN in working to serve the people of Luok Village, Tiga Pulau and Tongidon.

"Electricity that has entered these three villages is expected to improve the quality of life of the community, move the economy, and make it easier for people to carry out their activities. And in the end, it can encourage an increase in living and welfare standards," said Lahay.
