PJ Governor Of DKI Calls Pump House Importantly Overcoming Mampang Floods
JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Heru Budi Hartono assessed that pump houses play an important role in dealing with flooding in Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta.
"The role of pump houses is vital when it rains. The water that is sucked should ideally be channeled to the West Flood Canal flow," Heru said in a written statement received in Jakarta, Saturday, October 22.
Heru said, the provincial government also needs to further increase cooperation with the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) for flood management.
Moreover, his party has thought about what the public is complaining about so that the solution must be accelerated.
Heru asked for public support regarding the concepts discussed so that they could create better DKI Jakarta.
"It will be recorded by the guardian and arranged and then budgeted for all elements of society if it becomes a program for all of us, please support it," he said.
Heru also highlighted the construction of bridges that received protests from other parties during the construction.
South Jakarta Mayor Munjirin, who was also present, said he would formulate a solution for the construction of the bridge by suggesting that residents participate.
"Please give a design, whether later you want to become an icon or a characteristic of each region or what. Later the Bina Marga Sub-Department will design it on the residents' proposals," he said.
Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono attended the Improving of the Institutional Capacity of Interest stakeholders in Mampang Prapatan District, South Jakarta Administrative City, Friday night (21/10).
The event was a face-to-face meeting of policy makers in South Jakarta to meet residents and resolve problems from each region.
