Apri/Fadia were only able to move away after the same position 15-15. Matsuyama/Shida only added two points after that so that the first game became Indonesia's property.
In the second game Matsuyama/Shida began to dominate by producing six consecutive points after playing equally strong in the first four points. They then took a five-point lead during the break.
The distance of numbers was never smaller after that. The Japanese pair also successfully won this game by a difference of seven points and forced the match to continue into the deciding game.
