Victims Of Death Of Disruption Tragedy Add 1 Becomes 134 People, Dies After Treatment For 18 Days
One victim of injuries from the Kanjuruhan Tragedy who underwent treatment at the Saiful Anwar Malang Hospital died. Thus, the death toll from Saturday, October 1, 2022 night, became 134 people as of Friday, October 21.
According to the Head of Medical Services at Saiful Anwar Hospital, dr. I Wayan Agung, the patient was declared dead at 06.45 WIB, Friday, October 21, after undergoing treatment for about 18 days.
"We and the management are deeply saddened by the death of the victim after being treated for approximately 18 days," Wayan said in Malang City, East Java, quoted from Antara, Friday, October 21.
Wayan explained that a patient named Reivano Dwi Afriansyah (17), a resident of Ngebruk Village, Sumberpucung District, Malang Regency, underwent treatment due to injuries to his head and chest.
The patient was referred to Saiful Anwar Hospital, Malang City after undergoing treatment at Hasta Husada Kepanjen Hospital, Malang Regency.
According to Wayan, while undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of Saiful Anwar Hospital, patients must use respiratory aids.
"So for 18 days we have provided ventilator breathing apparatus, with conditions (patients) fluctuating," he said.
Wayan said that currently Saiful Anwar Malang Hospital is still handling four victims of the Kanjuruhan tragedy, two people undergoing treatment in a regular room, one person being treated at the High Care Unit (HCU) facility, and one person being treated in an intensive care unit.
"Probably (can immediately) go home which is in low care (regular care room)," he said.
Reivano is the 134th victim who died as a result of the tragedy that occurred at the Kanjuruhan Stadium on October 1, 2022, after Arema FC's match against Persebaya Surabaya.
Andi Setiawan, a resident of Malang City, was listed as a victim of the 133rd tragedy of Kanjuruhan who died. Andi died on October 18, 2022.
The chaos that occurred on the night of October 1, 2022, after Arema FC's match against Persebaya Surabaya which ended with a score of 2-3, made joint security officers from the police and the TNI try to prevent supporters from using tear gas.
The incident left 134 people dead and hundreds injured, some of whom had to undergo treatment at the hospital.
