Police Arrest 9 People Involved In Prostitution In Aceh, DPRA Desak Hotel Places Of Transactions Also Participated

ACEH - Member of the House of Representatives (DPRA) Sulaiman asked the Aceh Government to impose strict sanctions on hotels that provide prostitution activities, because they have violated Islamic law that apply in land."Yesterday, the pimps and prostitutes were arrested, so we ask that hotels that provide prostitution sites should also be given strict sanctions," said Sulaiman in Banda Aceh, Antara, Thursday, October 20.Previously, the Banda Aceh Police Satreskrim had exposed the practice of online prostitution through the WhatsApp application from two well-known hotels in its jurisdiction, and arrested nine suspected perpetrators. The perpetrators who were arrested were four people who played pimps and five others as commercial sex workers (CSWs). They were secured from two well-known hotels in Aceh Besar and Banda Aceh City.Regarding this case, the chairman of the Honorary Board of the DPRA Council (BKD) also urged the Aceh Investment and One Stop Integrated Licensing Service (DPMPTSP) to make a statement to the relevant hotels, so that similar incidents do not continue to repeat themselves. The Aceh government, said Sulaiman, can impose strict sanctions on permanent providers such as temporary business sealing until the issue is resolved or can also close it."The Aceh Government's firm stance on this prostitution case is very necessary, because this has truly tarnished the name Aceh as an area known as Serambi of Mecca with the application of Islamic law," he said.On this occasion, Sulaiman expressed his gratitude and appreciation from the police for exposing the practice of online prostitution in the capital city of Aceh province. He also hopes that the police and other related institutions such as Satpol PP and Wilayatul Hisbah (WH) can carry out routine patrols as an effort to prevent these practices."We hope that law enforcement can carry out routine patrols and supervision of activities that violate Islamic law, so that such activities will completely disappear from the land of Aceh," said Sulaiman.
