Prosecutors In The Perdana Ferdy Sambo Session Not Only Read The Indictment, But Representatives Of The State-People
JAKARTA - The South Jakarta District Court (PN) held the inaugural trial of Ferdy Sambo Cs, Monday, October 17. The agenda for today's trial is the reading of the indictment of the premeditated murder case of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat (Brigadir J).
The Head of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office, Ketut Sumedana, assessed that the Public Prosecutor (JPU) was not only present to read the indictment, but also as an agency that represents the state and the people.
"The Public Prosecutor is being tried to represent the state, government, the community, including victims," said Ketut, Monday, October 17.
Furthermore, Ketut also assessed that the Public Prosecutor must prove the indictment by digging for material truth and also being able to do justice in accordance with legal facts.
"The presence of the Public Prosecutor (JPU), in addition to proving the indictment by digging for material truth, is also able to act fairly in accordance with the legal facts revealed in court," said Ketut.
"The indictment that was read out came from the case file submitted by the investigator, so that changes in information usually occur, which are important, logical, reasonable and have agreement with other evidence," he continued.
The South Jakarta District Court held its first trial in the murder case of Brigadier J. The inaugural trial today is scheduled for the reading of the indictment.
