Heru Officially Became The Acting Governor Of DKI, Anies: He Has A Wide Experience In Facing Problems In Jakarta

JAKARTA - The former governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, considers Heru Budi Hartono to be able to replace him in impinging Jakarta. This was revealed by Anies after attending Heru's inauguration as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta.

Heru has managed to carry out several positions in DKI. Heru briefly served as Mayor of North Jakarta in 2014. Then, he was appointed Head of DKI BPKAD in 2015.

"We are sure, God willing, this big mandate will be able to be tested very well because (Heru) he is a technocrat who has a very broad experience in dealing with problems in Jakarta," said Anies after Heru's inauguration which was held at the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) office, Monday, October 17.

According to Anies, President Joko Widodo's appointment was the right decision. Anies also believes that Heru will be able to quickly adapt as Acting Governor of DKI because he has experience as a government official in Jakarta.

In addition, Anies and the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government have also prepared a Regional Development Plan (RPD) for DKI Jakarta in 2023-2026. This RPD can serve as a guide for Heru in his work.

"When it comes to the program, it is already in the RPD, the government's work plan, there are also regional strategic activities, and we all work by referring to the documents. That is how the government works. We believe that is also what anyone on duty, including Mr. Heru, "explained Anies.

Meanwhile, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian revealed that his party would evaluate Heru during his three-month lead in Jakarta. After one year, Tito revealed that Heru's position could be extended or replaced by other echelon I officials.

"The term of office is 1 year, but we will evaluate it every 3 months. After 1 year it can be continued by the same person or different person, depending on the results of the evaluation," said Tito.

For information, Heru's inauguration as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta which was held today is stated in the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia number 100/P of 2022 concerning the ratification of the dismissal of the Governor and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta for the term of office in 2017-2022 and the appointment of the Governor of DKI Jakarta.
