President Putin Said Russia's Mobilization Will End In Two Weeks, Call The Age-Leading Registration Method

JAKARTA - President Vladimir Putin said Russia's mobilization would end in about two weeks, with the number of those recruited reaching 222,000 people from the 300,000 target, admitting an error in its implementation due to the registration system.

"This work has been completed. Now 222,000 people from 300,000 have been mobilized. I think all mobilization activities will be completed in about two weeks," President Putin said Friday, quoted from TASS on October 15.

Of these, President Putin said 33,000 people had been stationed in the Russian Armed Forces unit, with 16,000 of them having been stationed in combat missions assigned units.

President Putin further explained that he did not see the interest of expanding mobilization in the future.

"First, the Ministry of Defense initially had lower estimates, not 300,000. Second, there were no additional plans. No proposals from the Ministry of Defense were received in this regard. In the near future, I don't see the need," explained President Putin.

President Putin explained that the errors made during partial mobilization were caused by the outdated registration method. He said the database is now being updated.

"Only when these mobilization steps begin to be carried out, the quality of the registration method becomes clear. The database is now being revised in a modern way. It will be as authentic as possible. And the quality must be improved," he said.

It is known that President Putin on September 21 signed a decree to carry out partial military mobilization. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said it would deploy 300,000 people, especially those with combat experience and military expertise needed by troops.
