Indonesian Rock Climbing Athletes Borong Medal Of The 2022 Women's Asian Rock Climbing Championship
JAKARTA - The proud achievement was achieved by Indonesian athletes at the 2022 Asian Rock Climbing Championship in Seoul, South Korea, Friday, October 14. The Red and White team managed to wipe out the speed number medal.
The All Indonesia Final took place in the event that took place in the Ginseng Country. Nurul Iqomah and Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi competed fiercely to be the best.
Until finally, Nurul came out as the winner after posting a time of 9.00 seconds, while Made Rita was below him with 9.22 seconds.
Rajiah Sallsabillah also fought epicly. He competed with Mingwei Ni from China in the race for third place. Finally, Rajiah won with a time of 7.11 seconds, leaving Mingwei with 9.01 seconds.
On their journey, the three Indonesian women's athletes dominated from the start. In the qualifying round, they escaped by occupying the top three positions.
Made Rita is in first place with a best time of 7.23 seconds, Rajiah is in second place with 7.46 seconds, and Nurul is behind him with 7.81 seconds.
After entering the round of 16, the dominance of the Red and White representatives continues. Especially for Nurul, he recorded 7.80 seconds and managed to beat Assel Marlenova from Kazakhstan (9.07 seconds) to advance to the quarter-finals.
Nurul again crushed his opponent, deputy host Jimin Jeong, after posting 7.81 seconds at this stage, eliminating Jimin with 16.24 seconds.
Then in the semifinals, he recorded a time of 7.33 seconds, defeating compatriot Rajiah who recorded 7.38 seconds.
Overall, Indonesia sent 12 athletes. Nine of them came down for speed discipline and the rest competed in the lead and boulder in the event which took place in South Korea 10-16 October.
From the women's sector there are four names that appear. Apart from Nurul, Made Rita, and Rajiah, there was also Sukma Lintang Cahyani who went down for the lead boulder number.
As for the men's speed, there are the names Veddriq Leonardo, Aspar Jaelolo, Alfian Muhammad Fajri, Kiromal Katibin, Rahmad Adi Mulyono, Zaenal Aripin.
As for lead and boulder, the competing male athletes are Musauwir and Muhammad Rizky Syahrafli S.
