DPR Desak Perpres 191/201 2014 Direvised So That The Fuel Subsidy Does Not Increase

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission VII DPR, Eddy Soeparno, assessed that the Subsidized fuel issue has always been a problem because the subsidized product policy is considered inappropriate. One of them is like there are always protests every time there is an increase in Subsidized Fuel.

Eddy also urged the government to immediately revise Presidential Regulation (Perpres) 191 of 2014 regarding the supply, distribution and selling price of fuel oil retailers.

"In the near future, Presidential Decree 191 of 2014 must be revised immediately, so that we can find out who is entitled to this subdidized fuel. Because so far they do not know whether there is a ban or rule to stop them, so that those (who are not entitled) no longer consume subsidized fuel," asked Eddy Soeparno, Friday, October 14.

It is known, since September 3, 2022, the government has set a new price for subsidized fuel with the reason that the state budget burden continues to swell. For this reason, the government has assigned PT Pertamina (Persero) to regulate fuel consumption by way users register through the my pertamina application.

VP Sales Support PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Zibali Hisbul Still explained that until now 2,872,924 vehicles have registered through the My Pertamina application.

"Until yesterday, around 2.8 million registered, this figure is only 8.8 percent, of which 65 percent were received, while some had not been received," said Zibali.
