Who Is The Candidate That Is Most Fitting To Anies Baswedan In The 2024 Presidential Election?

JAKARTA - The Indonesian People's Network with Anies Baswedan (Jarimanies) held a discussion on finding a vice presidential candidate (cawapres) for the NasDem presidential candidate.

Initiator Jarimanies Rahman Toha in his statement in Jakarta, Thursday, said Anies Baswedan's willingness to become a presidential candidate was the main capital, especially the NasDem Party that carried him.

"Anies Baswedan has successfully led DKI Jakarta because it can make Jakarta safe, comfortable, modern, and harmonious," said Rahman, as quoted by Antara, Thursday, October 13.

According to him, Indonesia's global challenges in the future require a leader who is intelligent, has a vision and narrative and has a strong leadership ability.

"That is with the figure of Anies Baswedan," he said.

He explained that the formation of Jarimanies aims to win Anies Baswedan in the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections (Pilpres). The existence of this organization also knits various elements of society to jointly support Anies Baswedan's victory.

Meanwhile, in the discussion forum, National Spokesperson Jarimanies Setiyono said that Anies must be side by side with the vice presidential candidate whose electability is good.

"This discussion is a good first step to encourage a coalition of political parties in supporting Anies Baswedan and exploring political potentials for his deputy candidates," said Setiyono.

Setiyono hopes that Anies' companion is someone who can increase electability and increase voter niche for Anies Baswedan.
