Treatment Of Victims Of Free Tragedy, Coordinating Ministry For Human Development And Culture: If There Are Complaints, Immediately Report

JAKARTA - The Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK) ensures medical expenses for victims of the Free Flood Tragedy. The Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture appealed to people who were also at the location during the Kanjuruhan Tragedy not to ignore complaints of pain because the government fully borne medical costs. "If there are complaints, report it immediately. The government will support the treatment for the costs," said Deputy for Coordination for Health Quality Improvement and Population Development at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, Agus Suprapto, in his statement, Wednesday, October 12.

Agus stated that the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture continues to be committed to prioritizing patients who are still being treated in the ICU and who are still in the process of recovering at the hospital, so that no more victims die. Furthermore, the burden of free medical and treatment costs is coordinated with the local government. According to Agus, previously Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendi had also said that all treatment for victims was 100 percent free, there were no fees. "If anyone is already charged with treatment fees, please send proof of payment, to then forward it to the hospital so that it is canceled and must be returned," explained Agus.

For information, the number of victims who died as a result of the tragedy of Kanjuruhan, Malang, East Java, as many as 132 people, increased from the previous data of 131 people. The data has been validated as of October 11 at 17.00 WIB by the Police. Meanwhile, data on the number of injured victims is still ongoing, namely 3,500 people, consisting of 532 people with minor injuries, 49 people with moderate injuries, and 26 people seriously injured.

"Resume the changes in data on victims who died increased by one, a total of 132 people," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Pol Dedi Prasetyo, Tuesday, October 11.

One additional person who died was named Helen Prisella, 21 years old. The victim is a patient at Saiful Anwar Hospital, Malang.

Initially, the late Helen came to the hospital on Sunday, October 2, as a patient in the moderate injury category, then was treated in the Ranu Kumbolo room at Saiful Anwar Hospital. After four days of treatment, he was transferred to the ICU room on Wednesday, October 5. The patient was later declared dead on Tuesday, October 11, at 14.25 WIB.

"Based on the explanation of the doctor who treated him, namely Dr. Syaifulloh Ghani Sp OT Wadiryan RSSA, patients in the ICU were diagnosed with extra-cranial trauma (a lot of trauma outside the head), peryoneal bidding (blood in the stomach) and sepsis (wide infection).
