UGM Students From The 11th Floor Of The Hotel In Sleman Murni Suicide, Police: Body Bringed To Kendal
SLEMAN - The Bulaks wells Police confirmed that the Gadjah Mada University (UGM) student with the initials TSR (18) who died jumped from the 11th floor of the hotel in Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, purely by suicide.
The Head of Bulaks Sub-dept. Police, Kompol Sumanto, said that the conclusion was after examining a number of witnesses and the results of the police findings at the crime scene (TKP).
"Krap diri, memang ada surat gangguan psikologis korban," kata Sumanto saat dikonfirmasi, Minggu 9 Oktober.
While checking at the scene, Sumanto said the police received a letter related to the results of the TSR psychological examination from JIH Sleman Hospital in the victim's bag.
"The psychological certificate (that) the victim was indeed disturbed," he added.
Sumanto said the police did not find any other motive or involvement of other parties that triggered the victim to fall or jump from the 11th floor of the hotel in Sleman.
The victim's body has been handed over to the family to be brought back to Kendal, Central Java. The handover process after the examination was carried out at the Bhayangkara Police of Yogyakarta Hospital on Saturday, October 8 night.
"[The body] has been brought by his mother's family to Kendal. Last night, immediately after being taken from Bhayangkara Hospital, his mother immediately took him," he said, quoted by Antara.
The police received a report regarding the jump of UGM students from the 11th floor at one of the hotels in Sleman on Saturday, October 8, at around 15.30 WIB.
Meanwhile, Head of Public Relations and Protocol of UGM Dina W. Kariodidedjo confirmed that TSR was one of the students at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Fisipol) UGM.
"UGM is deeply saddened by the death of one of our students at the Porta Hotel (Sleman)," said Dina.
