REJANG LEBONG - Bulog Perum Rejang Lebong Branch which oversees three districts in Bengkulu Province has increased 150 tons of medium quality rice stock to maintain rice price stability."We have submitted a request for additional PSO rice (Public Service Obligation) or 150 tons of public services, currently being loaded in Bengkulu," said Head of Perum Bulog Rejang Lebong Branch Guslindawati when contacted in Rejang Lebong, Antara, Friday, October 7th.The additional 150 tons of medium quality rice stock is to support the availability of stock in the Bulog Rejang Lebong Warehouse. Currently, the stock of rice is still 201 tons.With the addition of this rice stock, he said, it is estimated that it will meet the needs of the community in three districts under the auspices of the Rejang Lebong branch of Bulog, including Rejang Lebong, Kepahiang and Lebong Regencies for the next three months.According to him, in addition to having 201 tons of PSO rice in stock, another stock in the local Bulog warehouse is commercial rice, namely rice sold to the general market in 5 kg packaging for IDR 55,000 and a size of 10 kg of IDR 110,000.As for the current stock of frozen meat, it is still empty and a request has only been submitted to the central Bulog, then packaged cooking oil as much as 22,487 liters and sugar as much as 20 tons.So far, from his observations in the field, the selling price of rice is still stable and the stock is sufficient. His party will continue to make efforts to stabilize rice prices by providing medium quality rice supplies to traders in three districts.
