Investigating The Tragedy Of The Malang Argoran Stadium Continuing To Surabaya
JAKARTA - The National Police has named six suspects in the Kanjuruhan Stadium Tragedy, Malang Regency, East Java. The Police investigation team will continue the investigation process.
"The team will continue the investigation," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Friday, October 7.
In a series of investigations, the investigation team will go to Surabaya. The plan is for the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to depart today.
However, the reason behind the investigation into the Surabaya area was not clearly explained.
"The entire investigative team went to Surabayat to continue the investigation," said Dedi.
In the Kanjuruhan Tragedy that killed 131 people, six people were named suspects. They range from members of the police to the President Director of PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB).
The suspects include LIB President Director Ahmad Hadian Lukita, Arema Malang Executive Committee Chair Abdul Haris, and Malang Police Ops Head Kompol Wahyu Setyo Pranoto.
Then, Head of Samapta Malang Police AKP Bambang Sidik Achmadi, Brimob Company Commander of the East Java Police AKP Hasdarman, and Securityward Suko Sutrisno.
They were named as suspects because they were considered to be responsible for the series of matches until the deadly tragedy occurred.
In this case, they are suspected of having multiple articles, namely Article 359 and Article 360 of the Criminal Code related to mistakes that caused death. In addition, the suspects were also subject to Article 103 and Article 52 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 11 of 2022 concerning sports.
