BLT In Ambon Continues To Be Distributed To Protect People Affected By Fuel Price Adjustments
JAKARTA - The Ambon City Government has collected administrative data for residents who receive fuel oil subsidies (BBM) so they don't get the wrong target.
"We will provide subsidies to residents affected by the increase in fuel prices, but all of them will pass through administrative data collection aimed at preventing the wrong target," said Ambon Mayor Bodewin Wattimena, quoted Wednesday, October 5.
He said the City Government would provide a subsidy of two percent of the central general transfer funds to the regions, for people who are believed to have experienced the impact of the increase in fuel.
The fuel subsidy will be given to motorcycle taxi drivers, fishermen who use outboard motorbikes, as well as subsidies for the transportation of basic commodities purchased by distributors from outside entering Ambon.
In addition, market operations were also carried out, which were carried out in September in six locations in Ambon city and will be carried out over the next three months.
"All of these plans have been reported to the central government and it remains to be realized to the recipients of the fuel subsidy," he said.
Bodewin stated that all of these policies are in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) which requires local governments (Pemda) to spend two percent of public transfer funds (DTU) for social assistance for the community.
The regulation is contained in the Regulation of the Minister of Finance Number 134/PMK.07/2022 concerning Mandatory Expenditures in the Context of Handling the Impact of Inflation in 2022.
"After determining the Mayor's decree regarding the fuel subsidy, it will be distributed to the recipients through the post office," said Bodewin.
