JAKARTA - The death toll from the riots that occurred at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang, after the match Arema Malang (Arema) FC against Persebaya Surabaya on Saturday night, continued to increase in number. Until this news was written, the number had reached 130 people.

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD said the government regretted the riots that occurred at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, Malang, East Java.
Regarding this incident, Mahfud admitted that he had coordinated with the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit and also the East Java Police Chief, Inspector General Nico Afinta.
"The government regrets the riots in Kanjuruhan. The government will handle this tragedy well," Mahfud wrote on his official Instagram @mohmahfudmd.
Furthermore, Mahfud expressed his condolences to the families of the victims of the Kanjuruhan Stadium tragedy. Mahfud also hopes that the victim's family can be patient while waiting for the process to be carried out.
"To the families of the victims, we express our condolences. We also hope that the families of the victims are patient and continue to coordinate with the officers and government officers in the field. The Malang Regency Government will bear the costs of hospitals for the victims," said Mahfud.
