Back To Indonesia After The Pandemic, IKON: Kami Kangen, Hope Everyone Enjoy
JAKARTA - K-pop idol group iKON admits that they are nervous to meet their fans or iKONIC in Indonesia after almost three years of not meeting them at music events. iKON tonight is scheduled to appear as a special performer in the JISPHORIA event that carries K-Pop, J-pop, and I-pop on one stage at the Jakarta International Stadium.
"It's been three years ago I came here to Indonesia and I was nervous to meet everyone," Jay said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, October 1.
The youngest member of the group or maknae Chan admitted that he was looking forward to the spirit of the iKONIC as he and his group performed their last time, in 2019.
He said his group prepared a lot of performances and hoped the audience would enjoy their performance.
Meanwhile, Ju-ne's main vocals expressed his longing for fans.
"Surely iKONIC misses. We miss it. Hopefully everyone will enjoy it," said the owner of the distinctive hoarse voice.
Meanwhile, DK hopes that fans can sing with iKON and be excited to look forward to this.
Song said iKON will spend its energy on stage. He wants all spectators to be sweaty with iKON.
"Member-member will emit energy on stage. Hopefully we can sweat together," said DK and then experienced by Jay who said "iKON spirit".
Besides iKON, this music event was also enlivened by Indonesian musicians, starting with JKT 48, SM*SH, Lyodra and Andmesh Kamaleng.
iKON last appeared in Indonesia through a music festival on November 21, 2019. At that time, the six group personnel namely Bobby, Junhoe, Jinhwan, Chanwoo, Yunhyeong and Donghyuk performed about nine of their popular songs, including "Love Scene", "Calling Me", "Rhythm Ta", "Freedom" and "B'day" at the time.
iKON made their debut in 2015 through the album "Welcome Back". The album sold for more than 260,000 copies in Asia, while the songs inside sold for up to 4.8 million copies.
iKON throughout their careers has won a number of awards such as from the Mnet Asian Music Awards, the Japan Record Awards and the QQ Music Awards.
"Finally iKON will return to Jakarta after three years. TBL TBL can't wait, my dear, I'll see you soon," said Jay and DK representing their group members.
