Announce The Annexation Of The Four Territories Of Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin: It's Millions Of People
JAKARTA - Russian President Vladimir Putin announced Russia's annexation of four Ukrainian territories on Friday in a speech in the Kremlin.
"This is the will of millions of people," he said in a speech before hundreds of top officials at St George's Hall, the Kremlin.
"People living in Lugansk, Donetsk, the Kherson region, and the Zapoirzhia region are our citizens forever," he continued.
"We will defend our land with all our might and in every way," he continued, calling for "Kyiv regimes to immediately stop hostilities and return to the negotiating table".
They then joined hands and shouted "Russia! Russia!" at the same time as hundreds of officials, who stood up with standing ovations.
The ceremony lasted three days after the completion of the so-called referendum, where Moscow's proxies in occupied areas claimed the majority to 99 percent supported joining Russia.
The governments of Ukraine and the West said the voting, which was announced just 10 days ago, was held at gunpoint and fake and illegal.
Aneksasi berarti bahwa Rusia, yang telah merebut Krimea dari Ukraina pada tahun 2014, sekarang mengklaim sekitar 22 persen wilayah Ukraina, termasuk bagian-partisan yang tidak dikontrolnya.
President Putin's proclamation of Russian rule over 15 percent of Ukraine, Europe's largest export since World War Two, has been firmly rejected by Western countries and even many Russia's close allies.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres firmly called it an illegal violation of the UN charter.
