51 Days Towards The 2022 World Cup: Organizers For The Denmark National Team Protest Campaign Through Jersey
JAKARTA - The Highest Committee for Qatar Services and Heritage (SC) as the organizers of the 2022 World Cup responded to protests from the Danish national team regarding workers preparing for the 2022 World Cup. They protested through the release of the latest jersey.
Previouslyter had released a Danish national team jersey with a monochrome concept. In that latest design, the Danish Football Federation (DBU) logo to the sponsorship logo will not be visible in the costume and only display the jersey number and the player's name.
The concept applied by mediani is a form of protest against the organizers of the 2022 World Cup. Where gash alluded to the mistreatment and violation of human rights for workers in the stadium construction project and infrastructure supporting the 2022 World Cup.
According to violators, there were at least 6,500 people, most of whom were migrant workers, who were reported to have died in the construction project for Qatar preparation as the host of the 2022 World Cup.
"We don't want to be seen during a tournament that has claimed the lives of thousands of people. We fully support the Danish national team, but it's not the same as supporting Qatar as the host country," lined up in their previous statement about the Danish national team's jersey concept.
It was this statement that later received a response from the 2022 World Cup organizers. SC clearly denied it.
Since being appointed to host the 2022 World Cup, they have collaborated with the Qatari Government to be able to hold a tournament that is able to provide social heritage.
"For that reason, we disputed the winley's claim that it had claimed thousands of lives in this tournament," SC said in a statement quoted by The Guardian.
"Furthermore, we wholeheartedly reject doubts on our commitment to providing health and safety protection for the 30 thousand workers who built stadiums and supporting infrastructure," the SC statement continued.
In order to ensure the safety and health of workers in the 2022 World Cup preparation project, SC has also coordinated with the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the Confederation of International Trade Unions (ITUC).
From that step, Qatar is even claimed to have become a reference in the Middle East region in providing guarantees to workers. For this reason, SC asked the DBU to improve communication with web team's sponsorship providers.
''We urge the DBU to provide the results of communication with us and accurately forward the communication to their partner, vise,'' said SC.
