World Boxing Legend Manny Pacquiao Will Open A Boxing School In Indonesia, Interested In Registering?

JAKARTA - World boxing legend, Manny Pacquiao has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) along with Fahd Adityo Oscar or King Fahd. The deal contains Pacquiao's willingness to open a boxing school in Indonesia.

In the agreement that took place in Bali last weekend, King Fahd said Pacquiao would take part in fostering young Indonesian boxers so that they could improve the quality of Indonesian boxers.

Pacquiao has founded his boxing school in the Makati area of the Philippine Manila Metro area. For boxing schools in Jakarta later, Pacquiao will give a different name, namely the Manny Pacquiao Boxing Academy.

Fahd Adityo's desire to set up a boxing school has been around for a long time, in 2017 to be exact. But he felt constrained if he had to struggle alone.

For that, he then collaborated with Pacquiao.

"Who doesn't know Pacquiao. He's not just a world-class boxer, but has a clear vision and mission in developing boxing in the Philippines," Fahd Adityo said as quoted by Antara.

The Philippines, Pacquiao's home country, is indeed known as a world boxer producing country. Pacquiao himself is a former eight-division world champion.

Apart from Pacquiao, there are also world title holders of Nonito Donaire (bantam WBC), Johnriel Casimero (bantam WBO), Jerwin Ancajas (flying super IBF), Rene Mark Cuarto (flying mini IBF), and Mark Magsayo (WBC).

Pacquiao, who is now 43 years old, said exercise is very important for a country. Especially for boxing, teaching a lot about discipline such as getting up in the morning, setting times, honing emotions, exercising patience, and being able to distance yourself from drugs.

"From here we can build a very good country. Apart from being physically healthy, we as citizens are also mentally healthy," said Pacquiao.
