Children Victims Of Online Prostitution In Pasar Minggu Will Be Given Rehabilitation Guidance By KPAI
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) provides guidance to rehabilitate victims of online prostitution of minors at Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta."KPAI will continue to monitor these children because they need rehabilitation support. So, it's not about them being sent home and their parents coming," said KPAI Commissioner Ai Maryati Solihah when met, Jakarta, Antara, Friday, September 23.Previously, the South Jakarta Metro Police arrested five perpetrators of online prostitution of minors on Jalan Jaha, East Cilandak, Pasar Minggu, Thursday morning yesterday."Five suspects have been determined, four adults, suspects MH, AM, MRS, and RD, one suspect RR is still a minor," said South Jakarta Metro Police Deputy Chief AKBP Harun.Harun said the suspects had been carrying out their actions since July this year at a hotel in the Pasar Minggu area through a short message application as an intermediary between the customer and the victim.The six victims, all 16 years old, were staying at the hotel on a daily basis and were offered to customers from a price range of Rp. 300 to 800 thousand for one date.Maryati continued, the victim's parents supported the police's action to provide rehabilitation guidance children reflecting on the case of victims of sexual violence indicated by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in Medan.According to him, children under the age of 18 who are violators of HIV for life in the future will be more of a concern by a handful of people.This is because the perpetrators carry out their actions by taking advantage of the victim from a family that is not harmonious (broken home), then being invited to a romantic relationship."This is a phenomenon that is really a development because this power relationship has an extraordinary impact on victims, what do you want to do," he said.In addition, he is concerned about the business world such as the hotel where the victims and their customers are involved in the online prostitution business."I appreciate that the hotel has been investigated and will be developed because once again it looks like there are playing games.
