Google Arts & Culture Launching Educational Games First Titled The Descent Of The Serpent

JAKARTA - Google's Art & Culture Division has just released its first educational video game entitled The Descent of the Serpent on Thursday, September 22 for all iOS and Android users.

Not just a game, The Descent of the Serpent is a game created to learn about this ancient culture and visit a museum full of artifacts from its time.

"To take that experience to an entirely new level, the game is designed to submerge you into the ancient world of Mesoamerika, which is filled with ancient knowledge and created in partnership with Mexico's National Anthropology Museum," said Hugo Martinez McNaught, a Senior Manager, Government Affairs & Public Policy - Mexico & Central Region on the Goggle blog.

McNaught said that The Descent of the Serpent would bring players back in time to search for hidden objects at the forest multi-levelelago, mountains, beaches, to caves.

"From complicated costumes and ball games to exciting mythology and extraordinary architecture, ancient Mesoamerika culture can educate and entertain to explore," he added.

This ancient educational game can already be played starting today. You will be asked to find lost objects and return them to Chichen Itza within a predetermined time for solar equivalents.

As part of the challenge, players are invited to study the surprising, impressive, and interesting aspects of ancient Mesoamerika culture, and face the mythology who will test the knowledge they have gathered throughout the adventure.

The Descent of the Serpent is a game for players of all ages to enjoy, and also to learn from. You can play it from today via goo.gle/serpent, or in the Google Arts & Culture iOS or Android app.
