In Front Of Commission VI Of The DPR, Erick Thohir Pamer's PLN Debt Down Rp93 Trillion
JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir showcased the results of the transformation carried out at PT PLN (Persero).
Thanks to this transformation, he continued, the debt of this state-owned electricity company has succeeded in deducting the company's debt of Rp93 trillion.
"Alhamdulillah, thanks to our encouragement, of course, for the supervision of Commission VI now PLN's debt which was previously Rp500 trillion, when we together carried out the transformation, now PLN's debt has dropped to Rp407 trillion," he said at a working meeting of Commission VI at the DPR Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Wednesday, September 21.
Through a transformation that was carried out for three years, said Erick, this state-owned power company began to accelerate and fulfill its obligations.
"So for almost 3 years there has been an acceleration of payments and of course repayment so that PLN can be ready to face green industry or the lives of this digital society," he said.
On this occasion, Erick said, accelerating the payment of the debt was solely to improve PLN's cash flow or cash flow.
Not only that, Erick also guaranteed that this restructuring effort against PLN would not reduce services to the community.
"When asked again about how the success of PLN and services to people in dire need must definitely be a priority for healthy companies to serve people in need," he said.
