Worried About Trah Soekarno Like The Fate Of The Suharto Family, PDIP Forms Of The Council Of Colonels 'Kawal' Puan Maharani

JAKARTA - The cadre of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) in the DPR RI formed a Council of Colonels to oversee the chairman of the DPR who is also the chairman of the PDIP DPP, Puan Maharani. Member of the DPR and Coordinator of the Council of Colonels, Trimedya Pandjaitan, said that the formation was due to concerns about the fate of the PDIP in the future if it was led by people other than from the Soekarno trah. The Council of Colonels, he said, was also a form of loyalty of PDIP cadres to Puan Maharani.

"We feel that it's not that Sukarno's route is easy to control this party. We are also not sincere if it becomes like the Suharto family in Golkar. That's the basis," said Trimedya at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 20. The member of Commission III of the DPR explained that initially the formation of the Council of Colonels was initiated by Johan Budi. Johan felt that members of the PDIP faction needed to show their loyalty to the grandson of the Indonesian proclaimer. "After the meeting there was a briefing from Mbak Puan, there was only one faction and supervisor of the faction. Then enter the leadership room of the faction, Johan Budi said 'we are loyalists of Ms. must make something, we form a colonel council. We show that we are loyalists, Ms'. He said (Trimedya) is the coordinator," he explained. Trimedya said that there was no special program from the formation of this Council of Colonels. However, he said, the task of this member of the Council of Colonels is certainly to'renew' Puan' the names, both in every board (AKD) of the DPR and in their respective electoral districts (dapil). "Then when Mr. Utut left the city with Mbak (Puan) it was conveyed by Mr. Utut, (and) Mbak, (and) Mbak was happy. It's just like that, there were no rigid programs. But everything started from Commission I to XI. What we can do is done every commission in the electoral district as well. If the language is Mr. Bambang Pacul, how to 'wang' Mbak Puan in our respective electoral districts," said Trimedya.

"If the rigid program is not (there) but we feel that we are worried if it is not Bung Karno's blood, this is the fate of Bung Karno's family, just like the fate of the Suharto family in Golkar. There are also concerns. Just look at Pak Harto's family in Golkar, what is it like? Even though Mr. Harto, who founded Golkar from scratch," he continued. Trimedya said this was the subjective assessment of the cadres. For all members of the DPR, the PDIP faction, he said, Puan was the only leader of the future. However, all of them returned to PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri.

"For us, Ms. Puan before the mother (Megawati) decides something else. If you decide something else, we are of course upright. Now I was asked by my friends (to be the coordinator) just do it," explained Trimedya.
