JAKARTA - The South Jakarta Metro Police are hunting for community groups involved in a brawl at the Manggarai underpass, Tebet on Sunday night, September 18.

South Jakarta Metro Police Deputy Chief AKBP Harun said his party was identifying the perpetrators. A number of photos and videos captured on social media are the first steps for an investigation.

"We from the police will take firm action against this case, several videos and photos are already with us. The perpetrators who were there will also be identified," said Harun, 19 September.

The face recognition technology became the mainstay of the police to identify the perpetrators with photos and videos circulating in the public.

"Technology is now good, there is facial recognition or face recognition. So without asking who this is, who this is, it can be detected," he said.

The crowd clash that occurred at the Manggarai underpass, Tebet, last Sunday night was the third incident in the month.

The number of people involved in the brawl on Sunday was seen more than similar incidents on Saturday, August 20 and Wednesday, September 14, last week.

The 3 incidents went viral on social media. From the video captured, it can be seen that the perpetrators of the brawl attacked each other using sharp weapons and firecrackers.
