Build Roads In Oksebang District, 5 Heavy Equipments Of PT DHR Burnn By KKB Papua, 24 Joint Running Employees
PAPUA - The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) burned a number of heavy equipment belonging to PT DHR which was carrying out road construction from Oksebang District to Kiwirok in Bintang Mountains Regency, Papua.
Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Pol. Ahmad Kamal, said the incident occurred on Monday, September 12, at around 20.00 WIT.
"The heavy equipment fire was only discovered at around 23.00 WIT when dozens of DHR employees arrived in Oksibil and reported the case to the Bintang Mountains Police," said Kamal, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, September 13.
From the reports received, said Kamal, there were six units of heavy equipment burned by the KKB, namely five excavators and one bulldozer. The incident made 24 PT DHR employees who were in the company's camp run away.
"However, of the 24 employees, 16 of them have managed to save themselves and arrived in Oksibil until this case was revealed," said Kamal.
Kamal added that from the reports received, the perpetrators of the burning of heavy equipment were the Ngalum Kupel Group led by Lamek Taplo and the Nason B. Mimin Snow Meme group.
PT DHR is currently working on a road from Oksebang District to Kiwirok in Bintang Mountains Regency.
Regarding the death toll in the KKB attack, the Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police said that until now there have been no reports of casualties.
"Hopefully there will be no casualties, but to make sure we are still waiting for a report from the Pegubin Police," said Kombes Kamal.
