Don't Hurt 'Codet' Entering Plantations In Siak, There Is Already A Riau BBKSDA Team Monitoring

JAKARTA - The Riau Natural Resources Conservation Center (BBKSDA) deployed a team of Sebanga PLG officers to respond to reports of elephants entering a resident's plantation in Siak, Riau, Sunday, September 11.

"We have sent the Sebanga PLG team to the location to monitor the movement of the elephants," said Head of the Riau BBKSDA, Genman S Hasibuan through the Acting Head of Region II KSDA Division, Hartono, Monday, September 12.

It is known that the elephant is a solitaire elephant commonly called "Codet."

"Our team is already at the location where the Gajah Codet is located. It has moved away from the chicken coop and left Siak Duri road to Rangau street near the Rangau gas station," he explained.

In addition, the BBKSDA also conveyed socialization so that people do not do things that can endanger these protected animals.

"Don't ignore protected animals. Currently, the team is still monitoring the movement of the Gajah Codet so that the convoy will be carried out," he said.
