Support Mardiono In Replaceing Suharso, WPP Asks Solid Cadres To Face-to-face Fulfill PPP Women's Caleg Capai 30 Percent
JAKARTA - The Central Head of the Women's Association of Development (WPP) has agreed to support the Acting General Chairperson of PPP Muhamad Mardiono to replace Suharso Monoarfa in the success of PPP in the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).
"We have agreed to fully support Mr. Mardiono as the Acting General Chair," said Acting General Chairperson of WPP Fernita in a written statement, quoted from Antara, Sunday, September 11.
Fernita emphasized that the support was after the issuance of a Decree (SK) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights which provided legal certainty for leadership in PPP.
He stated that the entire WPP structure would be solid and work to make the 2024 election a success.
WPP also has a target of meeting female legislative candidates in the 2024 election with a minimum gain of 30 percent.
"We, the entire WPP structure, will be solid and work together to make the 2024 election a success, especially in guarding, monitoring, and being involved in fulfilling women's representation 30 percent in each electoral district (dapil)," he said.
WPP Secretary General Marijam Thawil added that WPP will continue to work for the success of the 2024 General Election.
According to him, the polemic some time ago did not affect performance towards the 2024 General Election.
"We are one of the party's wings for PPP. The existence of conflicts some time ago will not affect, God willing, we will help Mr. Mardiono's work," he said.
Previously, the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) authorized Muhammad Mardiono as Acting (Plt.) General Chairperson of the United Development Party (PPP) DPP for the 2020-2025 term of service through Decree Number MHH-26.AH.11.02 of 2022.
As for the excerpt of the decree, Muhammad Mardiono was confirmed as Plt. KetumPPP with a permanent office position on Jalan Diponegoro Number 60 Central Jakarta. The decree signed by Menkumham Yasonna Laoly in Jakarta on Friday 9 September.
