Google Prepares New Features On Android "Clear Calling" To Improve Voice Call Quality

JAKARTA - Google is reportedly preparing a new feature that is claimed to improve the quality of voice calls for your Android smartphone.

This feature was first discovered by a Twitter user named Phasial Rahman. In a thread he posted, he said that this feature was named "Clear Calling".

Launching information on Android 13 Quarterly Latest Release Platform (QPR1 Beta) via Android Authority, this feature is designed to reduce background noise during regular phone calls.

According to Rahman, if you want to activate this feature, you must activate it manually. "Delete Call" settings are enabled manually. Don't want to bother testing it, but this is the first look!" he wrote on Twitter.

"Clear Calling works for calls on mobile networks. It will not be available for calls using Wi-Fi," the caption said in the feature caption.

This means that Clear Calling will only function for calls using a mobile operator ( SIM card), and will not be available for Wi-Fi calls (WhatsApp, Telegram, and others).

The settings page also notes that the content of your call will not be sent to Google, so you can rest assured that your conversation will remain private.

This feature seems a bit similar to Google Meet's Noise Cancelation feature which is useful for filtering noise during meetings.

Furthermore, Rahman tries this feature on the Google Pixel 6 Pro phone, if you have the same smartphone brand, you can practice it directly.
