KARAWANG - Deputy Regent of Karawang, West Java, Aep Syaepuloh said the classroom of the Jatimulya V State Elementary School in Pedes District which collapsed during heavy rains on Thursday will soon be handled."We have heard the news of the collapse of classroom VI at SDN Jatimulya V, Babakan Krajan Hamlet, Jatimulya Village, Pedes District, Karawang. Handling will be carried out soon," he said in Karawang, Antara, Friday, September 9.The plan is that the handling or repair of the Jatimulya V SDN classroom will be handled using social responsibility funds or Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) from the company. "God willing, the maximum next week will be handled immediately," said the vice president.According to the information gathered, the cause of the collapse of the classroom was due to the condition of the already fragile building. The Deputy Regent said that the problem of damaged school buildings in the Karawang area will be completed until 2023. This is done in stages.According to him, every year the Karawang Regency Government allocates a budget for handling damaged school buildings.Furthermore, a fairly large budget will be allocated in 2023 to complete repairs to around 300 damaged school buildings."We will try to solve the problem of damaged school buildings until 2023 with budget capabilities from the Karawang APBD. In addition, later there will also be assistance for handling damaged schools from the CSR program," said Aep Syaepuloh.
