LPSK Referring To Komnas HAM's Statement Regarding Allegations Of Sexual Harassment In The Murder Case Of Brigadier J

JAKARTA - The Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) doubts that Komnas Hak Asasi Manusia (HAM) has confirmed that there is an element of sexual harassment in the murder case of Brigadier J or Brigadier Nofriansyah Joshua Hutabarat.

According to LPSK Deputy Chair Edwin Partogi Pasaribu, it is very unlikely that sexual harassment will occur between Putri Chandrawathi and Brigadier J. Because at the time of the incident, the wife of the former Head of the Propam Police, Ferdy Sambo, did not know the whereabouts of Yoshua.

Putri Chandrawathi still asked RR where Yoshua was. So it's a bit strange for people who commit sexual violence, but the victim is still asking where Yoshua is," said Edwin when confirmed, Sunday, September 4.

"Even if something happens, the PC mother can still scream. (Moreover) the power of attorney is not fulfilled because J is a subordinate of FS. PC is the wife of the general," he continued.

Furthermore, if it is true that an act of harassment occurred, continued Edwin, why does Putri Chandrawathi still want to live in the same house as Brigadier J. Even Putri took Joshua from Magelang, Central Java to Saguling, Duren Tiga, South Jakarta.

"(The feeling) is strange that a victim wants to meet the perpetrator of sexual violence, especially for example rape or obscenity, this is also odd. J is still being brought by PC's mother to the house from Magelang to Sawul's house." he said.

As is known, the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has stopped investigating the alleged harassment case by Brigadier J against the wife of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo, Putri Candrawati.

The police report (LP) is registered with the number LPB1630/VII/2022/SPKT/South Jakarta Metro Police Metro Police Metro Jaya on July 9, 2022. The report was registered by Putri Candrawati.

But recently, the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) concluded that Brigadier J had strongly suspected of sexual violence against Putri Candrawati, the wife of Inspector General Ferdy Sambo.

The allegation was revealed by Komnas HAM Commissioner for Counseling, Beka Ulung Hapsara when reading the report on the investigation into the murder of Brigadier J, Thursday, September 1.

"There is a strong suspicion that there was an incident of sexual violence committed by Brigadier J against a PC sister in Magelang on July 7, 2022," said Beka.

Meanwhile, family lawyer Brigadier Nopryansah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J found it strange that Komnas HAM's recommendation regarding the alleged abuse of Ferdy Sambo Putri Candrawati's wife in Magelang.

This oddity was because at first Komnas HAM did not find any element of harassment in this case. Even the Criminal Investigation Department has stopped the investigation related to alleged sexual violence.

However, Komnas HAM stated that there was no element of sexual harassment, namely in an incident in Jakarta. Meanwhile, for the incident in Magelang, Komnas HAM submitted an investigation into the alleged harassment to the police.

"I'm not sure it has to be proven, anyway. So let the investigators prove it. Once again with the help of experts," said Komnas HAM Chairman Ahmad Taufan Damanik to reporters, Saturday, September 3.
