Target Construction Section 2 Of The Ciawi-Sukabumi Village Toll Road In December 2022, PUPR: Will Give Positive Impact On West Java Growth And Around

JAKARTA - Head of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Danang Parikesit targets the construction of Section 2 of the Ciawi-Sukabumi Toll Road to be completed in December 2022.

"Until now, the construction completion is continuing, which is currently under construction is Section 2 of the Cigombong-Cibadak section of 11.9 km with a construction progress of 81.24 percent and is targeted for completion in December 2022," said Danang in his statement quoted by Antara, Friday 2 September.

He said the presence of the Ciawi-Sukabumi toll road had many positive impacts on regional growth for the people in West Java and its surroundings.

In addition to providing smooth driving access, this toll road also supports economic growth and business improvement in the West Java region, especially in the Bogor area, as well as in the Sukabumi region.

Danang mengatakan jalan Tol Ciawi-Sukabumi saat ini untuk Seksi 1 sudah beroperasi ruas Ciawi-Cigombong sepanjang 15.35 km sejak Desember 2018 lalu.

The Ciawi-Sukabumi Toll Road is also expected to cut travel time to the Sukabumi area, such as access to the Ratu Port, which will take approximately one hour.

Then if the Jakarta area to Pelabuhan Ratu will only take 2.5 hours so that it will be faster to provide support for smooth mobility of people to go to tourist attractions and logistics vehicles distributed in West Java.

Furthermore, this toll road also reduces travel times from Sukabumi, both districts and cities leading to Ciawi, so that it can save one to two hours, and currently only about a quarter to half an hour of travel.

The presence of the Bocimi toll road also provides support for connectivity towards many tourism, famous for its natural beauty in the West Java region, such as beaches at Pelabuhan Ratu, Ujung Genteng, Geopark Ciletuh, to Mount Gede and many other tours that are quite interesting to visit.

The Ciawi - Sukabumi Toll Road is managed by the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) of PT. Trans Jabar Tol with an investment value of Rp11.71 trillion. Later this Toll Road will have six Simpang Susun (SS) consisting of SS Ciawi, SS Caringin, SS Cigombong, SS Cibadak, SS Sukabumi Barat, and SS Sukabumi Timur.
