Drama Kasus KDRT Di Kembangan Jakbar: Journalist Asked To Talk To Tree, Kapolsek Don't Want Gaduh

JAKARTA - The West Jakarta Metro Police will investigate the police officers who told reporters to talk to trees at the Kembangan Police.

"We will clarify first, if there is an error, we will be given sanctions," explained the Head of the West Jakarta Metro Police Investigation Unit, AKBP Joko Dwi Harsono, quoted by Antara, Thursday, September 1.

Joko has not been able to explain the chronology of events between the Kembangan Police and the journalist.

He hoped that all parties would be calm so that there would be no noisy atmosphere.

"All parties urge each other so that events do not drag on," he explained.

To note, a video of the actions of police officers telling a wartawati to talk to a viral tree on social media after being uploaded to the Instagram account @sunangalijaga_sh, Wednesday, August 31.

The video shows a wartawati in black wanting to conduct an interview related to a case of domestic violence experienced by a woman.

However, one of the police officers wearing black clothes did not let the woman enter the Polsek.

The woman was instead asked to talk to the tree in front of the Sector Police.

"You wait a minute, you talk to trees first," said the police officer.

"How come we were told to talk to the tree, sir," replied one of the reporters at the location.

The famous lawyer, Sunan Kalijaga, who is also the attorney for the victim of violence, also tried to approach the police officer who entered the police station. But instantly, the police immediately blocked Sunan Kalijaga from entering.

Sunan Kalijaga was also angry with the police officer. "Heh, are you rude to me? Are you rude to me? Oh you are rude," Sunan said in the video.

To note, this incident began when the client defended by Sunan Kalijaga with the initials MMS became a victim of Domestic Violence (KDRT) by her husband with the initials D.

D was also reported to the Kembangan Police and has become a suspect. However, Sunan Kalijaga and the victim objected because D had not been detained by the Sector Police.

D is known to have not been detained because he was considered cooperative in the examination process. In addition, D also has the obligation to take care of his four children.
