The Suspect In Domestic Violence In Kembangan, West Jakarta, Was Not Detained Because He Was Also Raising 4 Children
JAKARTA - The domestic violence (KDRT) that befell a woman with the initials MMS (45) occurred in the Kembangan area, West Jakarta. However, the suspect in the domestic violence that had been arrested was not detained by the West Jakarta Metro Police.
West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKBP Joko Dwi Harsono explained that the reason the police did not make arrests was that the suspect had been cooperative during the investigation process.
"It turns out that the person concerned is raising children, four children are still small. And the status of the two parties reported and the complainant is still husband and wife and it turns out that their children are being cared for by their husbands (suspects)," said West Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head AKBP Joko Dwi Harsono when confirmed, Thursday, September 1.
AKBP Joko said that the suspect's case file has now also been transferred to the prosecutor's office. This means that Joko ensured that the case had been running properly.
"Lastly, the first stage of the prosecutor's office has been sent," he said.
Previously, a woman with the initials MMS (45) reported her husband D (45) related to the alleged case of domestic violence (KDRT) to the Kembangan Police, West Jakarta. MMS has been a victim of violence since 2019.
MMS admitted that he received a number of violence in the form of beatings many times until the threat of being killed.
The victim said that her husband's cruel act had been going on since 2019. At that time he was surprised to see the behavior of her husband who was often angry. Moreover, he was hit and caused his eyes to bleed.
She did not know for sure what caused her husband to be like that. However, she suspects that she often hears the reasons her husband complains that he is not willing to support her.
