Not Yet Kapok, Elon Musk Again Asks For A Trial Against Twitter Postponed Until November
JAKARTA - After Elon Musk tried to get out of the deal to acquire a $44 billion Twitter and the microblogging company sued him. Musk had asked for a postponement of their trial until next year. Even though it failed, because the trial will be held on October 17, the Tesla CEO did not give up on asking for another trial delay.
The latest news that Musk's team of lawyers proposed a new schedule for the trial to be postponed until mid or late November.
This time, they cited the testimony of former head of Twitter security Peter "Mudge" Zatko, who has filed a reporting claim against the company accusing him of a security flaw, making "false and misleading statements" to users and the FTC, and employing agents from foreign governments.
Musk's lawyer also filed a change in the filing which added more complaints against Twitter. The submission was submitted under the seal, but attached to a whistleblower document submitted by Zatko, which is scheduled to provide a position on September 9 to the US Senate.
Reported by The Verge, Musk's second termination letter to Twitter was sent yesterday and submitted to the SEC explaining the reason for the delay. According to Musk's attorney, the evidence Zatko provided had more reasons, in addition to the claims listed in the original termination letter he sent on July 8, to determine that Twitter was the party that violated their purchase agreement.
Chancellor Judge of the Delaware Court Kathaleenployment has yet to include a decision on the request or propose a new schedule such as a request from Musk's attorney.
But many consider that the reason is only part of Musk's attempt to buy time considering there is a possibility that the strategy could win it.
