Involved In A Horror Incident With Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso: Total!

JAKARTA - The Belgian Grand Prix Formula 1 (F1) race ended tragically for Lewis Hamilton. The Mercedes driver had to end the race on the first lap.

Whereas previously, he was so confident that he could present his first win for Mercedes this season.

This hope was dashed after being involved in an incident with Alpine F1 driver Fernando Alonso, on the first lap. He "tricked" Alonso to make his land jet fly in the air.

This incident began after the two riders managed to overtake Sergio Perez (Red Bull Racing). Hamilton at that time tried to take second place from Alonso by taking the outside but ended in failure.

Hamilton had to step down because his car was damaged, but Alonso was able to continue, even though he dropped to fifth.

Reporting from several British media, Alonso called Hamilton "idiot" in radio communication with his team. The Spaniard added, "This guy only knows how to drive when he starts in first place."

Pundit Martin Brundle of Sky Sports F1 also feels Hamilton guilty. But oddly enough, the seven-time world champion escaped the penalty, which could include a grid drop for his next race in the Netherlands next weekend.

Meanwhile, fans on social media were divided into commenting on the incident. "100% Hamilton is guilty, can't believe people think otherwise," said the fan against.

"Very bad from @LewisHamilton. A terrible weekend," said another.

However, there is an F1 lover who defended the British racer. "Lewis is clearly in front of Alonso at that corner. Everyone always expects Lewis to be the bigger person to concede," he commented.
