Ask All ASN For COVID-19 Vaccination, Riau Provincial Government To Letter Regional Apparatus Organizations

PEKANBARU - The Riau Provincial Government asked all state civil servants (ASN) and casual daily workers (THL) to immediately carry out the first, second and third doses (booster) vaccinations. The ASN can get vaccines at the Pekanbaru City Vaccination and Immunization Mall or at other health facilities in their respective regions.

Riau Provincial Secretary (Sekdapprov), SF Hariyanto said, in order to accelerate COVID-19 vaccination for ASN and THL within the Riau Provincial Government, the party had written to all regional apparatus organizations (OPD) to carry out vaccines at Vaccination Malls and Immunization.

"We have written to the head of the OPD so that we can order ASN and THL who have not vaccinated the first, second and third doses so that they can get vaccines at the Riau Vaccination Mall and Immunization," he said, quoted by Antara, Sunday, August 28.

For the implementation of vaccination for ASN and THL in the Riau Provincial Government itself, he said, the schedule has been set, starting from August 19, 2022 to October 3, 2022.

"We hope that all ASN and THL in the Riau Provincial Government have all booster vaccines. This is in our efforts to suppress the spread of COVID-19 cases," he said.

Currently, the Riau Provincial Health Office noted that the achievement of COVID-19 vaccination in Riau as of August 27, 2022, with a target of 5,552,581 people with the first dose reaching 87.72 percent, while the second dose of vaccination reached 70.68 percent.

From the average achievement of 87.72 percent, there are two cities where the achievement of vaccination for COVID-19 is above 90 percent, namely Dumai City at 93.55 percent and Pekanbaru City at 117.67 percent. For dose II, which is above 80 percent, Pekanbaru (87.78 percent).

The provincial government hopes that ASN and other employees can still carry out further vaccines to protect against exposure to COVID-19 even though cases tend to decline.
