JAKARTA - A truck driver, Dedek Supriadi (35), disappeared when his car was driving into a ravine on Jalan Raya Silihat Laut, Kelok Banto, Lubuk Kilangan District, Padang City, West Sumatra on Sunday at 00.15.

The Head of the Lubuk Kilangan Police, Kompol Lija Nesmon, in Padang, Sunday, said that from the information obtained from the witness, the car the victim was driving came from Solok Regency to Padang with steep road conditions.

The BA 8776 QQ truck slid and went into a ravine as deep as 50 meters and saw this, the witness informed his colleague in Kelok Aia Bajanjang and reported the incident to the Lubuk Kilangan Police.

"We immediately went to the scene of the incident and contacted the Padang City Basarnas to evacuate," he said, quoted by Antara.

According to him, Basarnas together with BPBD Padang, TRC Semen Padang, PMI Padang came to the location at around 04.00 WIB.

In addition, the Padang Police Traffic Unit, which was directly at the location, carried out accident checks and traffic regulation.

Basarnas personnel and other teams attempted to evacuate the driver but were not found due to dark situations and difficult terrain.

In addition, the position of the car is unstable because the tree is stuck in a ravine so that the Basarnas will continue the search for victims when conditions are clear.

"At around 06.20 WIB, the victim's disbursement was actively continued, but until now the whereabouts of the victim have not been found," he said.
