Following Up On The Order Of The Chief Of Police, Sigit, To Investigate Gambling To Drugs, Polda Metro Drags Hundreds Of People Into Suspects
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya and its ranks take action against crimes that have become a public disease (concentrated), ranging from drug abuse to gambling. Specifically for gambling cases, 296 people were named as suspects.
The intense action was a follow-up to the direction of the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
"In this case there are 296 people who have been named as suspects," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Friday, August 26.
Hundreds of people were named as suspects based on 131 police reports (LP) received by Polda Metro Jaya and its ranks.
Then, the ranks of the Polda Metro Jaya also succeeded in uncovering various narcotics cases. Within four days, 66 people were arrested and named suspects.
"As for the results obtained during these 4 days, there were 45 cases, then 66 people as suspects," he said.
From the dozens of people, various evidences were confiscated, including 626.75 kilograms of marijuana, 131,526 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, and 108,128 pills of ecstasy.
Then, thousands of bottles of liquor were also confiscated. Then, it was destroyed because it did not have a distribution permit.
"Liquor, which is also the focus of our police leadership, can catch 27,650 bottles of circulating liquor that do not have a permit to be illegal and endanger public health," said Zulpan.
