These Dozens Of Chickens Became Evidence When The Police Raided Gambling In Jayapura
JAYAPURA - The Head of Muara Tami, Jayapura Police, Commissioner Junan Pitomo led a cockfighting raid on Jalan Mega Mendung, Koya Timur Village. This raid was carried out on the basis of public reports.
Commissioner Junan confirmed the raid on the cockfighting gambling. When they arrived at the location, residents were gambling cockfights.
The police arrested three people, namely HT, SS and OT. The chickens at the gambling location were secured as evidence.
"When we arrived at the crime scene, several people fled but we managed to secure three people, including the owner of the location. The evidence that was secured included 14 roosters (chicken fighting), two tajih knives, five motorbikes and IDR 710 thousand in cash," he explained. quoted from a written statement from the Papua Police Public Relations, Thursday, August 25.
The three perpetrators along with evidence were immediately secured to the Muara Tami Police Headquarters for a more intensive examination for legal proceedings.
"It is possible that there were other perpetrators who had fled, considering that the owner of the vehicle that was secured did not exist," he continued.
