Unscrupulous Teachers In Belitung Become Dindikbud Staff After Being Deactivated Due To Hitting Students

BABEL - The Education and Culture Office (Dindikbud) has disabled a teacher who beat an elementary school (SD) student in Belitung Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province (Babel).

"We have disabled the teacher in question from his position as a teacher at SD Negeri 33 Tanjung Pandan since last August 18," said Head of the Belitung Education and Culture Office, Soebagio in Tanjung Pandan, Babel, as quoted by Antara, Thursday, August 25.

According to him, apart from being disabled from his position, the individual teacher has also been reassigned as a staff at the Belitung Dindikbud office.

He continued, as for the next process, if the victim continues to resolve the problem to the legal process, then for the imposition of further sanctions on the person concerned, they will wait for a legal process that has permanent legal force or incracht.

"This is in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 94 of 2021 concerning Discipline for Civil Servants (PNS)," he said.

Soebagio added, in order to prevent the recurrence of the incident, his party would increase socialization to educators and education personnel in the area regarding the applicable laws and regulations.

"Such as Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection, Government Regulation Number 94 of 2021 concerning Discipline of Civil Servants and Permendikbud Number 82 of 2015 concerning Prevention and Overcoming of Violence in Education Units," he said.

Previously, a video circulated on social media showing an unscrupulous teacher with the initials (F) beating an elementary school student in the area.
