Korean Drama My Fellow Citizens! Adapted In An American Series
JAKARTA - Korean Drama My Fellow Citizens! adapted in an English serial format. Titled The Company You Keep, the series is produced by ABC television.
My Fellow Citizens! tells the story of the con artist Yang Jung Kook (Choi Si Won) who has never been caught. He is married to Kim Mi Young (Lee Yoo Young), a detective who goes undercover as an employee.
In South Korea, the drama My Fellow Citizens! received a satisfactory rating during its broadcast in May 2019.
In the series adaptation, The Company You Keep stars actor Milo Ventimiglia who plays Charlie. In addition there is Catherine Haena Kim who becomes Emma.
The Company You Keep tells the story of Charlie who has an overnight relationship with Emma. The deceptive Charlie and the detective Emma must work together to cover up their lies.
In addition to the two, the series also stars William Fichtner, Tim Chiou, Freda Foh Shen, James Saito, Sarah Wayne Callies, Felisha Terrell and Polly Draper.
The series was written by Julia Cohen who worked on several phenomenal series titles, namely This Is Us, A Million Little Things, and Riverdale.

The ABC has planned the adaptation of several Korean drama titles in serial form, but often those plans are not realized. A number of titles such as Nine and My Love From Another Star were included in the plan.
Citing the social media account Ventigmilia, production of The Company You Keep is already underway. The plan is that the series will air between this year and 2023.
