The Reason LPAI Wants To Accompany Ferdy Sambo's Children Is Because It's Already Stated In The Regulations And Laws

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Child Protection Agency (LPAI) today, Tuesday, August 23, will visit the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, South Jakarta, at 13.00 WIB. LPAI will meet the Director of General Crimes of the Indonesian National Police, Brigadier General Andi Rian Djajadi.

The head of the LPAI, Seto Mulyadi or usually called Kak Seto, said his goal was to go to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police to inquire about the handling of Inspector General Pol Ferdy Sambo's children.

"Reminding the Police not to forget the fulfillment of children's rights, especially his son FS (Ferdy Sambo) who is now being bullied, terrorized and all kinds of things. So that's all, protection from violence," said Kak Seto when confirmed, Tuesday, August 23.

Kak Seto explained the reason why he had to take part in fulfilling the rights of children from Inspector General of Police Ferdy Sambo because it had been stated in the legislation.

Every child whose parents (father and mother) are forced to undergo detention must receive special protection. Each state institution is responsible for providing protection and separating children from cases that ensnare their parents.

"For special protection, the state is responsible and the state in this context, especially the central government, the National Police itself as a state institution also needs to care about this case. So, please separate it from the case of the activities of the parents," explained Kak Seto.

When asked whether to meet with Putri Chandrawathi's family and Inspector General of Police Ferdy Sambo, Kak Seto admitted that he was still waiting for directions from the Police.

"We will see the situation. If it has to be approved by the institution, right. If it is possible for me to want to see the child, it will be better," he concluded.
