Police Admit CCTV That Recorded Shooting At Cengkareng Regional Private Bank Is Too Blurry, Perpetrators Are Difficult To Identify

JAKARTA - After going through the examination process, the police said that the CCTV evidence that recorded the shooting at a private bank in the Cengkareng Region, West Jakarta could not identify the perpetrator's face because it was too blurry.

The Head of the Cengkareng Police, Kompol Ardhie Demastyo, quoted Antara, Monday, August 22, explaining that based on the CCTV camera footage he took from a corner of the commercial shop area, two people were seen riding a motorbike, suspected of being the perpetrators of shooting towards the shop.

However, until now, it is still conducting further investigations.

Ardhie also explained that the shooter used a pistol.

"Based on the findings of evidence in the field. This projectile that we have secured is a 9 mm caliber type, a pistol type," said Ardhie.

But he couldn't confirm who the gun belonged to.

The shooting occurred on Thursday, August 18, at around 02.45 WIB in a commercial area in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta. The security guard who was on guard at that time was shocked to hear the explosion of guns from outside the shophouse.

"He was shocked and heard three gunshots," said Ardhie.

The security officer immediately approached the source of the sound, however, he did not find anyone at the location of the source of the sound of gunshots.

Security finally reported the shooting incident at 10:00 WIB.
