Rehan/Lisa And Gregoria Win In First Round Of 2022 BWF World Championship

JAKARTA - Satisfactory results were achieved by the Indonesian mixed doubles, Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati, in the first round of the 2022 BWF World Championships, Monday 22 August morning WIB. Facing Lee Jhe-Huei/Hsu Ya Ching from Taiwan, Rehan/Lisa won directly in two games with a score of 21-14 and 21-9.

Appearing at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, Japan, Rehan/Lisa opened the match with a good performance. They immediately stepped on the gas in getting points at the beginning of the match.

Despite trying to catch up with the results, the efforts of the Taiwan representatives were not too smooth. In the first game interval, Rehan/Lisa were far ahead with 11-6 points.

With a considerable distance, representatives of Indonesia took advantage of it to continue to pocket points after the break. Lee/Hsu were unable to catch up until they finally lost 14-21 to Rehan/Lisa.

In the second game, Rehan/Lisa again showed their increasingly strong dominance. They stole points early to 6-0 and continued into the first interval 11-5.

Rehan/Lisa's victory was also followed by Indonesian women's singles, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung. He had no trouble against the representative of Scotland, Kirsty Gilmour.

Appearing in the game for 32 minutes, Gregoria Mariska Tunjung managed to secure victory in two games that ended 24-22 and 21-7.
